While I was out swimming last July 4th weekend, hackers attacked one of our sites hosted with Server Powered. On the way back from the lake, I got a call from the Server Powered team, explaining what had happened, and how they were solving the issue. When I arrived home, I had emails from Server Powered detailing the vulnerability that was attacked and the solutions they had put in place. That night I was watching fireworks. Without the Server Powered team I would have been dealing with a major crisis.

Our network consists of multiple fiber backbones to the internet from tier 1 providers. Each redundant fiber ring from our bandwidth providers enters the datacenter through dual entry points on opposite sides of the building. This setup prevents a single break in a fiber loop from interrupting the backbone to the internet. The fiber room connecting the dual fiber entry points to our datacenter is protected by passcard and biometric access limited to only network engineers. In the year and a half since our datacenter was put online, it has yet to suffer a complete loss of internet connectivity.
